Supposed that that anyone coming here needs no explanation as to what a “Grid" is in context of light control and why they are needed. The internet has more than enough information about that. Allow yourself only to focus on the absolute necessity of having grids for lighting in all sizes and types of studio spaces. 

Softbox Grids

The video above demonstrates the Softbox Grid design.

The grids have a reinforcing spring frame. 

The main advantage of a grid with a reinforcing spring frame is its ability to offer rigidity to hold its shape and the hold correct cell geometry. Ease of installation, dismantling, and storing of the grid are small but nice additions. Grids are installed on the softbox using Velcro. 

A significant number of softboxes have no recessed front for attaching a grid. Installing grids on such softboxes is usually impossible. To get around that, we offer grids with reinforcing spring frames and a special mounting "skirt” for mounting onto these softboxes.

Scattering angle

The scattering angle of grids vary. The most popular grids are 40 degrees.

Grids included in inexpensive softbox “kits” often have very large and shallow cells, giving a minimal effect and can be considered more of a simulation of what grids can do, or they are a good marketing ploy by the manufacturer. Those grids never indicate the light scattering angle nor the cell size. Making grids like ours, with small and deep cells is difficult, time-consuming, and expensive.

EU - Payment by local transfer in EUR (SEPA) to my account in Belgium.

The amount will be converted by cross-rate on the day of payment.

There are other options for different countries.
